An Opus Clip alternative with no subscription

Opus Clip (OpusClip) is a go-to for turning long videos into clips. Its model: a monthly subscription with a minutes allowance. If you post now and then, paying per video can work out cheaper.

How much does Opus Clip cost?

On OpusClip's official pricing page (checked on 23 October 2026): Starter at $15 a month for 150 minutes, Pro at $29 a month for 300 minutes, and a free plan with 60 minutes a month and a watermark.

Prices change: always check the official page. The plans are explained in Opus Clip pricing.

And Clipotte?

Clipotte is paid per video, based on the length processed: €4.90 up to 30 minutes, €7.90 up to 1 hour, €12.90 up to 2 hours, €16.90 up to 3 hours. Options: animated captions +€2, face and licence plate blur +€3, hook titles +€1.

No monthly allowance, no subscription: one video processed, one payment. Clips export in 1080p with no watermark, with one free regeneration per video.

Which works out cheaper?

If you process one or two videos a month, paying per video usually costs less than a subscription you also pay in quiet months. If you process several hours every month, a minutes subscription is cheaper per minute.

Example with Clipotte: a 45-minute podcast with captions and blur comes to €12.90 (€7.90 + €2 + €3), once. Three 50-minute videos a month cost €23.70 with no options: at that pace, OpusClip's Starter (150 minutes for $15) is the better deal.

Where is Opus Clip better?

For high monthly volume, its subscriptions are cheaper per minute. It also has a free plan (with a watermark) to try it out, which Clipotte doesn't, and link import, which Clipotte doesn't do.

It's also a better-known tool, with more features around publishing. Clipotte doesn't post to social media or schedule.

Who is Clipotte the better choice for?

People who post irregularly and want nothing to cancel: one video a month, a quarterly webinar, an occasional podcast. Also people filming in public, with built-in face and plate blur (+€3).
