A Klap alternative, no commitment

Klap turns your long videos into clips, with an entry plan billed yearly. If you don't want to commit for twelve months, here's a pay-per-video alternative, and what Klap does better.

How much does Klap cost?

On Klap's official pricing page (checked on 23 October 2026): Basic at $14 a month, billed yearly, for 100 clips a month. No free plan is listed there.

“Billed yearly” means you pay for twelve months up front. Always check the official page: prices change.

What does Clipotte cost for the same use?

Clipotte is paid per video, based on the length processed: €4.90 up to 30 minutes, €7.90 up to 1 hour, €12.90 up to 2 hours, €16.90 up to 3 hours. Options: animated captions +€2, face and licence plate blur +€3, hook titles +€1.

You pay for the source video, not the number of clips: a 1-hour video that gives you ten clips costs €7.90. If you process a lot of video, there are two yearly packs: Creator at €149 for 40 hours of source video and Agency at €399 for 150 hours, all options included, valid for 12 months.

When is Klap the better choice?

If you post lots of clips every month, all year, its plan beats paying video by video. Counting in clips is also easy to plan if you think in number of posts.

Klap doesn't list a free plan on its pricing page, and neither does Clipotte: either way, you pay to try. OpusClip, on the other hand, has a free plan with a watermark: see the Opus Clip alternative.

When does Clipotte fit better?

When your rhythm is irregular: a podcast some months, nothing over summer, a quarterly webinar. You only pay for videos you process, with nothing to cancel.

Also when you film in public places: automatic face and plate blur is built in (+€3). See a clip maker with no subscription.

What limits should I know about Clipotte?

No link import (you need the file), no direct posting or scheduling, no free plan. Videos can be up to 3 hours and 4 GB.

In return: 1080p export with no watermark, one free regeneration per video, refund on request for 14 days. To compare Klap with OpusClip, see Opus Clip vs Klap.
