Clipotte turns a long video into vertical clips ready for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. Here is what it does, what it costs and what it doesn't do.
What the tool does
- Upload a video file in MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM or AVI, up to 3 hours and 4 GB. No link import.
- Pick the useful range of the video: the price follows the chosen length and is shown before you pay.
- Automatic word-by-word transcription, language detected or chosen.
- Best moments picked, each clip with a score out of 99 broken down into hook, flow, value and trend.
- Clip length of your choice: auto (20 to 90 s), under 30 s, 30-60 s, 60-90 s or 90 s to 3 min.
- Optional free-text brief to steer the selection (“actionable tips”, “funny moments”).
- 9:16 reframing that follows the main face and cuts cleanly on shot changes, or the whole video on a blurred background.
- For each clip: a suggested title, description and hashtags, editable and ready to copy.
- Transcript-based editor: delete words to cut, fix the text, change the caption style.
- 1080p export with no watermark, clip by clip or all at once as a ZIP.
- One free regeneration per video, with a free-text brief.
- Animated captions option (+€2): active word highlighted, pop effect, six ready-made styles.
- Automatic face and licence plate blur option (+€3): tracked one by one, smooth, pixel, frosted or emoji styles. Not foolproof: check before posting.
- On-screen hook title option (+€1), with editable text.
- Account optional: upload, pay and download as a guest.

Limits
- No free plan, no free preview, no monthly subscription.
- No YouTube or Twitch link import: you need the video file.
- No direct posting to social networks, no scheduling.
- No reframe-only mode without clipping, no voice-over, no automatic B-roll.
- A video longer than 3 hours must be split before upload.
- Refund available for 14 days from your account; automatic if processing fails.
- Source videos deleted 30 days after upload, clips 90 days after creation, unpaid uploads after 48 hours.
- Clips belong to the user, provided they hold the rights to the original video.

Frequently asked questions
Is Clipotte free?
No. You pay per video, from €4.90 for up to 30 minutes, with no subscription. The exact price shows before you pay, and you can ask for a refund for 14 days.
Do the clips have a watermark?
Never. Clips export in 1080p with no watermark.
Can I paste a YouTube link?
No, Clipotte works from the file. For your own videos, download it from YouTube Studio (or from your Twitch creator dashboard).
What's in a yearly pack?
A number of hours of source video (40 h for Creator, 150 h for Agency), all options included, to use within 12 months. Each processed video uses up its minutes.
