Minutes or clips: which logic suits me?

If you process few long videos but want lots of clips from each, a clip allowance works in your favour. If you process many videos and keep only a few clips from each, a minutes allowance may suit you better.

Do the maths on a typical month: minutes of source video, clips kept. And check the exact rules on each official page.

Monthly or billed yearly: what's the difference?

A price “per month, billed yearly” means you pay twelve months up front. That's the case for the Klap Basic plan checked here.

Good value if you're sure you'll post all year, less so if you just want to test or your activity is patchy.

Where is each one better?

OpusClip lets you try for free (with a watermark) and has a higher 300-minute tier. Klap gives a fixed number of clips, easier to plan if you think in posts.

Both are subscriptions: they're built for people who post regularly. For more detail, see the Klap alternative and Opus Clip pricing.

What if I only post now and then?

Then any subscription also bills the months with no video. Clipotte is paid per video, no subscription. Clipotte is paid per video, based on the length processed: €4.90 up to 30 minutes, €7.90 up to 1 hour, €12.90 up to 2 hours, €16.90 up to 3 hours. Options: animated captions +€2, face and licence plate blur +€3, hook titles +€1.

It has no free plan or link import, but its clips never have a watermark. See a clip maker with no subscription.
